Corton Grand Cru « Les Grandes Lolières »
Terroir
The Corton appellation, 99% dedicated to red wines, is unique: it boasts the only red Grand Cru of the Côte de Beaune. On the slopes of the majestic Hill of Corton, our vines flourish on an exceptional soil, a mix of chalky clay and rich marls. Our plot of 0.3 hectares, planted 60 years ago, embodies the excellence of this noble terroir, where each bunch of grapes tells a story of balance and depth.
Vinification & ageing
To further enhance this exceptional terroir, we opt for slow and traditional vinification. After three days of pre-fermentation cold maceration, gentle pigeages and daily remontages accompany the alcoholic fermentation process. Quantity is limited, with only 4 or 5 pièces produced each year. This precious nectar is then aged in the cellar in new oak barrels for a perfect blend of finesse and power.

Tasting
This Corton Grand Cru ‘Les Grandes Lolières’ displays a brillant garnet robe. The nose seduces us with an elegant complexity, mixing aromas of liquorice, star anise and mocha. On the palate, a wine of great density, precise and dynamic, supported by a delicate structure and refreshing acidity. The long and mineral finish suggests lengthy cellaring potential, honouring the reputation of the Cortons as timeless jewels of the Côte de Beaune.
