Bourgogne « Cuvée Antique »

Terroir

Cuvée Antique draws its essence from a very special plot: these were our very first high vines, planted in 2012 in the locality known as ‘Les Queues de Renards’ in Saint-Sernin-du-Plain. This clay-limestone terroir hosts Clone 928, known for its very low yields, thus offering grapes of exceptional concentration. This bold choice embodies our quest for excellence and our respect for the terroir. From the 2024 vintage, the Antique cuvée will take the name ‘Origine 928’.

Vinification & ageing

The vinification method for this cuvée was chosen to draw out the full potential of the grape. After three days of pre-fermentation cold maceration, we proceed with gentle pigeages and daily remontages, before starting alcoholic fermentation. This precious cuvée, limited to only 5 pièces, is then matured for a year in barrels that have previously been used for our Corton Grand Cru, for a subtle blend of power and elegance.
