Our wines

Bourgogne
Hautes côtes de Beaune

Terroir

This cuvée is produced from the blending of grapes from two of our plots, one located in the town of Sampigny-lès-Maranges and the other in Dezize-lès-Maranges, both of which adjoin the village of Santenay. The first is a young vineyard, replanted with high vines in 2016 in a terroir facing south-south-west and characterised by siliceous rocks. The second is an old vineyard, planted in 1982, with more typical clay-limestone soil and facing south-south-east.

Vinification & ageing

We carry out traditional vinification in vats, with gentle pressing and without the addition of SO2 during vinification. The cuvée then passes entirely into French oak barrels for alcoholic fermentation. For this cuvée, we use barrels that have, on average, aged two previous wines; maturation occurs on fine lees for 12 months.

Bourgogne Hautes côtes de Beaune

Tasting

Another beautiful open nose, with notes of fruit jellies, fruit in syrup and spices. The palate is mouth-filling and smooth, revealing fat on the finish. The meeting of our two terroirs gives a beautiful depth to this Hautes-Côtes de Beaune.
